Stowe Community Church in Stowe, Vermont, voted unanimously on Sunday, December 6, to call me as their next pastor, and I have accepted that call. Thus, our family will be moving to Vermont and beginning a new chapter in our lives before Christmas. Here is a link to their web site where you can learn more about the church and the community: Stowe Community Church.
With all that we have to do to move, I may not be posting much on my blog for the next few weeks. In the mean time, you may listen to the first sermon I preached in Stowe just this past Sunday. All you have to do is click on the link: Come Before Winter.

On behalf of all of your many friends and colleagues within the C.S. Lewis Foundation family, we send our heartiest congratulations and very best wishes to you and Becky and the family as you take on the Shepherd's role in the very special community of Stowe, Vermont. You and your new congregation will certainly be in our prayers.
Given our deep commitment to the Five College region, just to the south or you, and our hoped for launching of the C.S. Lewis Study Center in nearby Northfield, Massachusetts, we rejoice over the prospect of seeing much more of you in the months and years to come.
With much love, yours for the journey,
Stan Mattson, President
C.S. Lewis Foundation
P.S. I simply can’t pass up this opportunity to note, parenthetically, that while you were growing up in beautiful La Jolla, CA, would you believe this Brooklyn lad was backpacking all over nearby Mt. Admiral Mayo, down into Jeffersonville, and out via Stowe? Nor shall I ever forget seeing Bobby Kennedy as I skied down the slopes of nearby Mt. Mansfield. Small world!
