Last week I was in Austin, Texas where I gave the annual C. S. Lewis lecture at Concordia University (pictured above). One of my hosts was Dr. Joel Heck, Professor of Theology at Concordia. Dr. Heck is the author of Irrigating Deserts: C. S. Lewis on Education. He has a C. S. Lewis related web site here: www.joelheck.com . In the evening I spoke to The Friends of Fine Arts and Communication at Texas State University San Marcos. My presentation was preceded by wine and h'ors d'oeuvres pool-side at the beautiful home of one of my hosts. I was introduced by Dr. Steven Beebe, Regents' and University Distinguished Professor, Chair of the Department of Communication Studies and Associate Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communication at Texas State.
